History of our hotel "Jolanta"
Those will endure who will transform.
This story began at the end of the last century,when a few enterprising people chose not to sit on their hands...
And so, an undistinguished car service building on the outskirts of the town experienced a sensational transformation and on December 25, 2000, the recreational club "Jolanta" opened its doors. A lovely cafe and a dance floor awaited both the residents of the town and its guests. A game hall and a carwash were operating in this very building at the same time.
People here enjoyed satisfying meals, had celebrations, organized weddings and cheered together on hockey games. You could have your car washed and cleaned up here as well. The hostess, after who the center is named, organized fun and energetic events, concerts, discotheques and kids parties. Almost every weekend there was an artist or a band famous in Latvia, performing. Such as Liepājas brāļi, Opus Pro, Olga Rajecka, Viktors Lapčenoks, Yana Kay and many others.
In order to further enrich entertainment options, in 2004 a SPA zone – sauna and a pool began their operation. Both grownups and children were happy about the entertainment and relaxation that playing in water offered.
Everything was going well, but the joy of changes wasn’t about to slow down, and just a couple of years later the second floor of the building began to transform in to a hotel, until finally in 2007 its guests from near and far kindly welcomed seven cozy and comfortable rooms, decorated in warm colors and with furniture made by our own company.
At that time, the restaurant began to take shape in the first floor, settled in, liked it and lives here to this day, in the same premises shaping its special, homey ambiance which welcomes people from all over the world to love and enjoy aroma - filled dishes and return here again and again.
Today we call ourselves hotel "Jolanta", but we are not simply a guest house. This is a home, and a family that in other places might be called employees lives here. Our family-like and friendly collective roots for all the transformations, takes care of this nice ambiance, order, and hospitality and welcomes you to enjoy this warm-hearted atmosphere also in people around you.
Through the years the company has significantly expanded. A car wash operates in the center of town and a solarium is located right next to it. We own a woodworking company which offers carpentry services and produces heating materials and also a furniture production plant, where modern, contemporary and suitable to everyone's taste furniture is made. Recently Lakeside apartments – four homey rooms next to the furniture production unit on the very lakeshore have opened. They are located only 7 kilometers from Aluksne and in a very short time have already become very popular among fishermen as well as nature and solitude lovers. And that is not even all... There are new projects, new thoughts, and dreams that are waiting for the opportunity to be fulfilled and for our guests to appreciate them.
We believe that Rainis has said very apptly regarding the key to our existence and success, “Those will endure who will transform”. Change and aspirations to strive upward, to accept whims of any period and survive even in crisis situations.
With every pleasant change we wish to build a bridge of comfort to your hearts. In any case – it doesn't matter how many changes through time there might be, there is one thing that will never change here for sure – our true esteem and hospitality towards you, our dear guests.
